Was sparta always a democracy ?

i know that democracy was heavy in ancient Sparta but i want to know was it always democracy ?????? back then when it was Sparta was first created ?? / I'm not talking about in today's sense but in the beginning in Sparta way back when..

    Nope, it was not. In fact, as far as I remember, it was not for most of the time, unlike, for example Athens. Sparta was a city ruled by warrior elites, with people being shaped either as soldiers or slaves.

    Sparta was actually a oligarchy kind of government, they didnt really have much of a democracy that was kinda Athens. Though they could have gone more into a democracy after a while. They were very dependent about military because of there inland location in greece they didnt have access to arde routes so they took over other places for the materials they needed.

    It was under military rule. The army ruled everything.
