What are the best restaurants in Holland Michigan?

Things get pretty busy around tulip time, reservations are convenient but not necessary. I live just south of Holland in Saugatuck and here is some of my favorites.

For Italian - Go with Pereddies. It's a cool little italian deli/restaurant in the washington circle neighborhood

The Curragh is nice if you like irish food

The piper has great views fo lake macatawa and pretty good eats

Boatwerks has good food and nice scenery, on a nice day sit on the patio and watch the boats. warning the service can be very slow.

You HAVE to go to Captain Sundae's and have a Tommy Turtle, presidents and dignitaries from around the world have done so. (Go to the original at 365 Douglas Ave, the other two are poor substitutes)

Crazy Horse is the best place for a steak

If you are feeling a little dutch for tulip time, look for pigs in the blanket on any breakfast menu in town. No sorry smokey links in a pancake here.... we got the real deal from the dutch dish saucezenbroodje.

They will take reservations if you want one you are better off if you did make reservations to make sure you get a table. GREAT FOOD !!!!
