How many of you often just want to .....?

I often wish we could go back to the way that the native americans lived off the land, then we could avoid all the poverty and using the worlds resources

Have you ever watched survivor man on the Science Chanel .

That is not easy .

He being a expert on survival , usually starves for the week or 7 days , He is out , I have never seen him catch a good meal yet .

And even if He did , You don't have a refrigerator , if you caught a good piece of meat , it starts Roting , and going bad very , very fast .

And you can't drink the water .

Have you not ever visited grave Stones from the 1800's , look on them , many of the people died from drinking water that killed them , by bacterial and other things that made them sick .

Many of them died at age 6 , 18 , and 22 etc .

Have you ever Killed a live animal and skinned it .

Not a pretty thing , very depressing to kill .

Even more depressing to skin it , take out the guts , and then eat it , very messy .

It sounds great, until you need a dentist, or have to clean a deer, or have a bitter cold day. Be careful what you wish for. However, I can understand your sentiment. I sometimes wish I wasn't so practical.

You can shed off the trappings of materialism without going to the wilderness.
