Should I trade my car in or sell it first?

I live in Washington, I'm not sure what the value is. I owe 9800 on my 2006 Magnum still. I want a smaller car like a Mazda3 or 6 b/c of gas mileage. I drive alot so I need a car with better mileage. However, I'm just not sure how the trade in value is going to be, Will I still owe 9800 after I get the mazda or will I owe more? I don't think I can sell it myself, I've tried.

Go to your local mazda dealer. Talk some numbers with them. What they did with my 05 nissan armada for a bmw 7 series was I owed 11k on my armada. it was fully loaded. They paid off my armada and let me walk into my beamer. I drove off the dealers lot not upside down and a new car payment(bout $500 bucks more) but lost my 600 dollar gas bill. Talk numbers if you dont like wat they re offering then sell it ur self and go back and drive off with a new car not upside down

They wont trade even no matter what, thats just a dealer for you. You will end up owein more that what you owe now. Just save up and buy u a cheap run about car and keep the mag :o if you could sell it that would be best.
