I have an Aries, It's great for me as its mostly flat area's. I would recommend you go toward a commercial grade mower. Its a little more up front. But, you will get a better mower that will last many years to come. I spent 4000.00 on mine for a couple of extra thousand, it would have been a better decision. Better yet for your money, you can go with a small tractor, with a bush hog and finish mower. And be able to do anything with it.

I use toro in my business, but I think for a home owner it will come down to price and service, I would but something easy to get reapired in your area, but for your buck a troy build is cheap, or a cub, but toro make a time saver home , it is a home depot, porduct, a lot less than a comercial one, you only have 3 acres, I would even think you need that big a mower, for that.

We LOVE our EXMARK. We use it daily for commercial and residential mows and have had wonderful luck with it. No problems after 5 years. I recommend it!
