I want to terminate my account on ancestry.com... How?

I signed up for the 14-day free trial (and I did read the fine print) about six days ago and today something came up when I tried to log-on today, about a bill that I will be receiving when the trial ends. Please help me!!!!!

And if you read the fine print.... then you would KNOW that you WILL be billed at the end of the trial.... automatically! Why do you think you gave them a credit card number !?

Here is a link to EXACTLY how to CANCEL

you can use the account up thru the 14th day. On the morning of the 14th day or if that lands on a weekend then pick the Friday before it expires and give ancestry.com a call to cancel. They have an 800 number to call that's listed on their website. Above all, don't fret. Enjoy your researching and then just give them a call. we've all done it at one time or another.

While in the trial and if you're stuck, ask us how to search so that your time in there is fruitful.

Go to Ancestry.com. In the top right menu select "My Account." In the box in the right column, under " Subscription Options" there's a link to cancel your subscription. I had to pass up renewing my subscription this year (there's a depression, ya know?) and I didn't have any problem closing the account. (But I'll be back.)

Reply to the email massage they sent to you and in the subject line type in UNSUBSCRIBE ME.

Then in the message section explicitly tell them to unsubscribe you.
