You didn't tell us what the area is?
But lets just say it's A. That means your length is (2 + w) and your width is w.
So area equals length times width.
We're saying the area is A since you didn't write the actual area. A = w(2 + w) so just plug in your actual area and solve. This will give you a quadratic equation of w^2 + 2w - A.
