Soon after eating a meal what happens to pancreatic hormone secretions? Include what stimulates these secretions and what affect these secretions have (be sure to discuss hormonal secretions into the blood stream as well as secretions in the digestive system).

food = sugar, so pancreas secretes insuline which will lower the sugar in the blood and stock it in the liver (as glycogen), so insuline peaks after eating a meal, and goes back down again between meals. when the blood sugar starts to get too low, the pancreas secretes glucagon, which is basically the opposite of insuline: it turns the glycogen into sugar again and takes it out of the liver and puts it back into the blood etc

    dunno about digestion
