US only - Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey - what do you do with it?

I'm wondering about sandwiches and if there is a usual way of making one, and anything else of course. Thank you.

we usually do turkey sandwiches, or just reheat the leftovers and have the same meal again : )

If we have enough to do sandwiches too we do turkey, cranberry sauce usually cheese, and lettuce, onion tomato, my wife likes mayo.

I prefer a cold turkey sandwich over hot turkey any day. Just turkey, mayo and salt. But on occasion I will make shredded turkey sandwiches, turkey, onions, celery and cream of celery soup. More often that not, if there is a lot of turkey left, I will freeze it in small portions and pull it out a little at a time to make cold turkey sandwiches later. In fact, I make a turkey a every couple months just for sandwiches, it's healthy and cheaper than the processed lunch meat.

I usually dice it up and make it into salad meat sprinkles for Chef Salad, or make it into soup as there is always some gravy left too.

I have been known to wrap the left over turkey slices, buttered, in aluminum foil and heat in 350 F oven for about 30 minutes. The butter rehydrates the meat best. Then stack your sandwiches. I like Rye or Pumpernickle for these. Dill pickles, tomatoes, spinach leaves, olive slices and onion slice along with mayo on the bread.

Breakfast scrambles! dice the meat, dice some bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, anything else you might like in omlets. quarter cup of each in saute pan with butter until the onion is clear then toss in the stirred eggs over medium heat. Stir a bit then flip over so it can cook on other side. Top with grated cheese.

We put the leftover shredded turkey with cold stuffing, some mashed sweet potatoes and a lil bit of cranberry sauce. On thick bread.... Mmmm!

One time I made a panini out of left overs. I believe I used turkey, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. I put it between two slices of bread and pressed it in a George Foreman grill. It was actually really tasty!

Many like a sandwich with some mayo and lettuce. Maybe pickles or tomato, I have been dealing with 40 years of turkey leftovers and frequently look for recipes.

I like to chop the turkey, and add some turkey gravy and some chop suey veggies from a can, then serve it on rice or chow mein noodles.

You can also use it for tacos, or freeze it in small portions for meals later on. It's good heated with gravy and served on buns, too.

Slices of turkey on bread - pour over hot chicken gravy.

Cube turkey - combine with chicken gravy and pour over hot cooked rice.

Cold turkey slices on bread with mayonnaise and lettuce.
