Catholics, at one point in your life did you accept Jesus' perfect pardon?

Without the pardon, you are guilty before a just and perfect God. "All our righteousness is as filthy rags."(Isaiah)

One more thing. Why are infants baptized? Can they believe on Jesus? Isn't Baptism just a signification that you believe?

I love you and am not trying to hurt anyone.

Update:

Amen Herb! Amen brother!

Update 2:

Loveand..- so there is more than accepting Jesus? You have to enter the church. What about the thief on the cross? There was no Catholic church. The church is every single believer that has accepted Jesus' pardon. Not some building.

Update 3:

Catholics always ask why protestants don't accept them. Well, just look at the two long answers below. For Pete's sake just google the Catholic beliefs.

Here is what the Bible says. Not what I say. There are sure a whole lot of beliefs out there,"nevertheless, the counsil of the Lord, that shall stand".

"For all have sinned and come short of God's perfection."

"Here is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation (atonement, perfect pardon) for our sins."

"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

"For with the heart man BELIEVETH unto salvation."

"You foolish Galatians, who has tricked you? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect through the flesh?"

"And that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures."

"Jesus said unto her, "THY FAITH HATH SAVED THEE."

Jesus said unto him,"YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN." Nicodemus sayeth unto him,"how can these things be?"

Update 4:

"... as Moses lifted uo the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up that WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON(depends on to save like the people who looked at the metal serpent of Moses and were cured) HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE."

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but by His mercy he saved us, FOR BY GRACE ARE YOU SAVED THROUGH FAITH AND NOT OF YOURSELVES FOR IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD. Not of works lest anyone should boast."

Thanks to God that I am a true chritian, born again in the spirit. (John 1:12-13).

Once I was called Catholic even that I did not know much of the Catholic Church. I read the Bible since I was very young, thanks to God. I am save by the grace of God, because of his great love and mercy.

The children are presented to the Lord God. They are not supose to be baptized. Why? Because they do not sin. They have no conscience of sin. (Luke 2:22-27). Jesus said: The kingdom of God belongs to the children. Not children of God go to hell. Only those sinners that do not believe in the Son of God and to his word.

Only Jesus Christ did not sinned. Why? Well, because he came from heaven, the lineage of God, not of man. The lineage of virgen Mary came from the man. The word of God came to her, she believed and acepted the word that was said to her from God. (Luke 1:45). God did choose her because it was his will, and his words was manifested in her wound. He did not choose Diana, or Ana, whatever. He choose the virgin Mary and no other virgen. Do you know that the woman is purified through the monthly period. (Leviticus 12:4). There is always a reason.

We are not supose to go to another person for forgiveness of our sins. That is a sin. Only to the Lord God. Priest of the Catholic Church are doing things out of the will of God. That make them sinners as everyone. Only through Jesus Christ we can be save. You may say, but they believe in Jesus Christ, but it is not only to believe in Jesus Christ, it is to believe to him, to his word, his commandments, etc.

    God bless you all.

One must accept Our Lord Jesus Christ into our lives intellectually - with our wills, yes. But we must do more. We must also use the means He has set up to save ourselves.

For example, we must enter freely into His Ark of Salvation - the Catholic Church. If not, like the days of Noah, of which the Catholic Church is a symbol of, we shall all perish in the flood (of sin). For outside of Her, there is no salvation.

Catholic baptism is much more than just an 'acceptance of belief ' in Jesus. There are actual Graces conferred from the Sacred Humanity of Jesus unto us through His instruments, which are Catholic priests. (Although for this Sacrament, Baptism, Our Lord makes it so readily available to all, that even a layman can baptize. How Beautiful.) I love you too. This is why I want you to be a part of the Holy Catholic Church. Ave Maria.

Yes, at every Mass we do so, and we do so formally when we are confirmed.

Infants are baptized because baptism is Jesus' work, not ours, and because Jesus said not to keep the little children away from Him. Jesus insisted on no minimum age and no works (such as a public testimony or making a choice to be baptized) to "qualify" a person for baptism. When we bring a little child to Him to be baptized, it shows that we understand that HE is doing it all, and we are perfectly helpful.

Yes, infants can believe in Jesus. When my children were born -- literally seconds old -- they all knew me and reacted to me differently than any other person. The bible tells us that God knows us in the womb. So just as my kids learned who I was before they were born, they can learn who God is (from God). There is no evidence that infants do NOT know who Jesus is.

Every time I go to confession.

Infants are baptized, because of Adam and Eve's original disobedience which all of us inherited. Only two persons did not inherit Adam's sin: 1. Jesus, because He was God. He was however baptized by John the Baptist, but as a symbolic revelation of His Divine descent and the beginning of his three years ministry. 2. The Virgin Mary who by becoming the mother of God incarnated, had to be sinless, through God's Mercy.

The Catholics, along with the Lutherans, Episcopalians, and other Protestants, baptize infants because they believe baptism to be about the remission of ORIGINAL sin. Not ACTUAL sin. The stain of original sin. You know, Eve eating the apple, and all that.
