The Bible has a significant part of it based on dreams and visions (the Word of God or Living Word). So the most important verse in the Bible is actually Numbers 12:6. The rest of it is based on that including quite a bit of commentary. Unfortunately it didn't stop lies from being included, or mistranslations or strange interpretations. Jesus' teachings were based on it, and his healing therapies were based on Celt and Greek techniques (using dreams and visions for diagnosis and remediation). The Celts had the first hospital in the world 650 years before Jesus was born in a place called Armagh (I know because some of my ancestors are from there).

"Let the peace from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. Col. 3:15 Amplified Bible "Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear." -Eph. 4:29 New American Standard Jesus annoints the blind man eyes with clay and heals him: John 9:41

One I like can be found in Job (though I forget the actual chapter and verse number). Basically it says,"God's hand punishes, but it also heals." I take this to mean He's a Father, punishing His children when they do wrong, but always ready to take them back.

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.- Psalms 37:4

Its one of my favorites. Also for a young person a good one is:

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.- 1 Timothy 4:12

    One about God's love

I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me find Me -Proverbs 8:17

Don't just read the nice ones - know what the Bible says as a whole. - It's very evil and advocates murder all the time.

Kill People Who Don't Listen to Priests

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

    Kill Homosexuals

"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)

    Death for Hitting Dad

Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death. (Exodus 21:15 NAB)

    Kill Sons of Sinners

Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and posses the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. (Isaiah 14:21 NAB)

Kill People for Working on the Sabbath

The LORD then gave these further instructions to Moses: 'Tell the people of Israel to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever. It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is holy. Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. I repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.' (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT)

    This is My favorites

When the Pharisees brought a woman who was caught in the act of adultery to Jesus and asked Him if she should be stoned, Jesus replied, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her” (John 8:7). This should not be used to indicate that Jesus rejected capital punishment in all instances. Jesus was simply exposing the hypocrisy of the Pharisees. The Pharisees wanted to trick Jesus into breaking the Old Testament law; they did not truly care about the woman being stoned (where was the man who was caught in adultery?) God is the One who instituted capital punishment: “Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man” (Genesis 9:6). Jesus would support capital punishment in some instances. Jesus also demonstrated grace when capital punishment was due (John 8:1-11).

Here is the Old testament Law

    Lev 20,10

And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

I am pointing this out because you might want to be careful if you are being told the Truth about the Bible in Church.

Jesus was down to Earth, it is man that like to pretend that they are Holy, the word Holy means devoted.

when Jesus is talking that you heard it said, eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. He is talking that we are no longer a people that takes the Law in our own hands, let the system of justice work for you...

    Matthew 5:38-48

38 "You have heard that it was said, "AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.' 39 "But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; (that over powers you) BUT whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 "If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. 41 "Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 "Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you. 43 "You have heard that it was said, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' 44 "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 "If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

"For if I am an offender, or have committed anything deserving of death, I do not object to dying; but if there is nothing in these things of which these men accuse me, no one can deliver me to them. I appeal to Caesar." Acts 25:

    04-15-2010 09:34 AM

    Deuteronomy 6:5 OT

5"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

    Leviticus 19:18 OT

18'You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD

    who's commandments?

We are here for the purpose of Satan appeal trial. Satan accuse God of being unjust. and we are a demonstration to all angel fallen and elected. God allows Satan to make His Case. This is why God gave job up as a witness.. have you notice that the Bible is numbered like a trial transcript? your sins are on trial,,

"When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property." (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

It's just such a nice reminder of the things the bible advocates.

    My all-time favorite!

Rom 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Rom 8:29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn, with many brothers and sisters.

Rom 8:30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And he gave them right standing with himself, and he promised them his glory.

Rom 8:31 What can we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

Rom 8:32 Since God did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else?

Rom 8:33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? Will God? No! He is the one who has given us right standing with himself.

Rom 8:34 Who then will condemn us? Will Christ Jesus? No, for he is the one who died for us and was raised to life for us and is sitting at the place of highest honor next to God, pleading for us.

Rom 8:35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or are hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with death?

Rom 8:36 (Even the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep." [fn])

Rom 8:37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

Rom 8:38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away.

Rom 8:39 Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
