Have a look at your router lamps and make sure you have a broadband lamp glowing. If it is a Home Hub 2 there should be three lamps glowing but the broadband lamp indicates that the router is connecting to the isp. If you can access the management pages of the router, then do a factory reset, and reboot. If you still cannot access the internet, and the correct lamps are lit, then try installing another browser, say opera, and try that. If that works then you have some weird settings in the browser that won't connect. If it doesn't, then you may have some kind of infection which is preventing connection. Try to get a friend to download malwarebytes, and do a scan with that. You obviously wont be able to update the program if you can't connect, but it will still have reasonably up to date data.

    Good luck

Disable the anti virus and try again, do you need a password with a BT Lan?

Check your TCP/IP settings and see if your PC is set to get addressing Automatically (via DHCP) or if there are static IP address numbers. If it is static, that is probably the problem. Change the settings to "Obtain an address automatically" and you should be fine.

I assume you have not been messing with the hub config? If not just turn it off. Wait one minute. Turn it back on. This usually works.
