The Ouija Board is an instrument used for divining information from disembodied spirits. A combination of the French (oui) and German (ja) meaning 'yes'. It is a commercial product presented as half game and half seance instrument.

Professional mediums and psychics tend to frown on the use of the Ouija, regarding them as being too likely to be controlled by "low spirits" more intent on something other than providing accurate information.

Critics of the Ouija, who include authorities in most denominations of Christianity, say it is dangerous and a tool of the Devil. Those who advocate the use of the Ouija, say the like other forms of divination, it is a legitimate way to discover insight, wisdom and self-truths and to communicate with spirits of the dead.

It is thought that most often, answers given probably rise from the subconscious of the users, even when "spirits" identify themselves and give messages. Yet the pointer, or planchette, used with an Ouija, has been known, at times, to fly off the board and spin out of control, as though being directed by unseen forces. Some users claim after using an Ouija, they have been harassed by external agents contacted through the board.

Let me ask you a question: Do you think the devil would like for you to get involved in these practices? The answer is yes—and that should be a solemn warning to you.

The Bible is very clear: If we want to please God, we will avoid everything that has anything to do with the occult (even if it seems innocent or harmless on the surface). The reason is because occult practices of any kind could involve you with spiritual forces that are opposed to God and are, in fact , in league with the devil.

I know that is a strong statement—but I can't emphasize strongly enough how spiritually dangerous it is to follow Satan's way rather than God's way. When the Ephesians who had practiced the occult became Christians, they "brought their (magic) scrolls together and burned them publicly" (Acts 19:19). They knew there could be no compromise between their old way of living and God's way.

Don't try to resist the "pull" you feel toward the occult in your own strength. Instead, by faith turn to Christ and ask Him to come into your life and give you the strength of His Holy Spirit. Don't be deceived, but come to Christ, who alone is "the way and the truth and the life" (John 14:6).

You might want to consider the possibility that ouija boards can't really be used to contact the dead. Because that's how it is. Anyone telling you that they're scary and dangerous should be ignored. Their information is always second hand.

It's been proven that it is always someone who is manipulating the board themselves and nothing to do with spirits. Blindfold everyone who is using it and all you'll get is a random assortment of letters instead of anything coherent. That should tell you all you need to know.

You can be as serious about it as you like. It'll never work. At least you aren't lying about it and saying scary things are happening when they're not. Good for you.

ok first of all don't even mess around with one of them. I was in the hospital for 2 months because of those things.

(we contacted something evil, it came through the board tried to posses me and my friend but didn't. instead it pushed me down the stairs, i hit my head real hard,passed out and fell into a coma) i think that's what happened. i'm going by what my friend said happened cause i'll i remember is up to the part where it came out of the board...

but anyway the point is don't mess with them. you have no idea what you'll contact. it could be an earthbound spirit when they say that they're a friendly spirit.

Yea get a refund cause you just bought an expensive cutting board.

There is not thing mystical or spiritual about a board game you can buy at Toys R' Us next to Monopoly and Jenga.

Your looking for trouble and that is what you will get. However it is not like any trouble you have yet to encounter. I do not suppose you know what to do when you call forth a demon and they do not go back where they came from? Because beware that the door you open with this foolishness that you believe is harmless play is in fact so dangerous you will need deliverance to get rid of the demons that manifest in your home and on you and your relatives never giving you a moment of peace.

But you are so silly that it doesn't matter to you as long as you can laugh about it.

Oh you will be crying soon as the demons will torment you.

there could be any number of reasons why its not working or maybe it is working but no spirits want to come through., because the board only opens doorways. just cause a door way is open doesn't mean anything is around to come trough. i would be thank ful that nothing did cause once a doorway is open anything can come through.

The demons are there.....they'll let you know when their ready.Your gonna be very sorry you called them. They make it work not you! Im not gonna give anymore direct info but trust me it's not a road you want to travel.

we finally got it to work in one of our more haunted places haha

so maybe go to some place haunted?
