A friend of mine's daughter was diagnosed with ALS last July. The day after Christmas she was put on hospice. I wrote a letter to a celebrity asking for help as the medical exspenses have taken over and her daughter is also a single mom. I posted the letter on facebook. Since then there has been a facebook page dedicated to my friend's daughter. Everyone wanted to help donate. So we are having a "variety show" at a local bar and charging $10 at the door to get in. Is there any leagle situation we need to be aware of? We realize that for individuals the donations are NOT tax deductible and everyone wanting to attend has been made aware. Will my friend's daughter need to claim the money on her taxes? Also is it leagle to do a 50/50 raffle at the event? The event will take place in Missouri. Any and all information will be helpful.

My husband and I had a contract we submitted on a home get accepted last week. We had a preapproval from Pulaski bank. Now we are doing our inspections and such. Yesterday (Saturday) we recieved a notice in the mail saying a bill of ours was 33 days past due. We did not know about this bill nor did we know it was over due. The bank is closed so we cant call about it. I am really worried that since our closing date on the house is Feb 27th we will lose the house due to this late payment. Can anyone tell me if they will be running our credit again or if the bill will be submitted to the credit score companies and cause us to lose the house for lack of financing? Thanks so much!

My husband and I just adopted a 2 year old mini aussie male. We had already had a 2 year old female aussie that we've had since she was 4 months old. She aims to please and is a GREAT dog. The new dog, Odie, thinks all of the toys are for him and doesn't share with Meeko, the old dog. They seem to play just fine. Sleep just fine. They know whose dog bowl belongs to who. But when ever Odie has a toy/bone and meeko even just WALKS by he attacks her. So much so that now when he has a toy she is horrified to go near him. How can I stop and correct Odie's behavior and help the "acclimation" period. I will note that at night we have both dogs in our bed room but Odie, for now, is crated in the room while Meeko is allowed to roam freely.

I'm making a slideshow of our whole family for my grandma's christmas gift. What are some good songs to use?

I need songs for when the parents/grandparent walk down the aisle and then another one for when the bridal party walks. I don't want instrumental songs no one has heard of. I want songs that have words and meaning. Any and all suggestions are welcome!

My parents Divorced about 16 years ago. My mother remarried and hes been remarried for about 12 years now. My real dad and i have had a distant relationship until recently. We have grown to talk frequently and I visit him about once a week. My step-dad and i have also had a rocky road. But as i've grown and matured and moved out of their home things have changed. Both My mom and Step dad AND my real dad are helping pay for the wedding. HOWEVER my wedding as brought up a lot of past arguments. I love my dad and i was touched that he wanted to walk me down the aisle. My mother feels he doesn't deserve it and while im not close with my step dad, she thinks he should do it. My dad and his side of the family have vowed to not come if my step dad does it. I expressed that its my wedding day and its a celebration of my fiance and i committing to each other and how much we love each other and had asked that everyone please be adult about it. As the months have gone by and not making a decision the arguments between the families have worsened. Any advice? ps- i cant have both walk me because we wont fit and they hate each other. My brother is in the military and wont be getting leave so he can't. I know that walking down alone is an option. But i would really love and have dreamed of being GIVEN away. Please help.

I have been dating this guy for 3 years now. And we were best friends before that. I love him to death and with my whole heart and hope to marry him. We recently decided to live together and we move in on June 30th. Im very excited but at the same time im very scared and nervous. And i cant really pin point why.. whether it be im making a serious step with him and i fear change, or because i've never lived away from my mom and brothers and sisters.... it may be both.. i don't normally like change, but then again i want this.. Is it a bad idea? He is so excited and happy and i am too, but he isn't scared or nervous at all. Any advice as to help me feel better?

When a soldier dies in combat over seas how does the body make it back to the family? does the body even get to come back? how long do they have to wait to have the funeral? i know it is a grim topic but I don't really know anything about whats going on over there. My brother is getting ready to be shipped over and my little sister was asking all these questions. I told her not to think like that and that she was too young and to just pray for him. But I got to thinking myself and i sure don't want to ask my mother. Help please

Its kind of a long story. My maid of honor has been my best friend for 14 years and we've never had a fight until recently. She is having her first serious relationship that happens to be crumbling beneath her.. But a few weeks ago she accused me of making my facebook status about her and said boy. Now I know that this is brought on by her roommate because she HATES that she isnt the so-called-best-friend. But it turned into this huge thing where she told me she didnt want to talk to me ever again and threw every mistake in the passed 14 years in my face. Well the things on facebook were NEVER about her, and even as she bashed me to the core i couldn't bring myself to throw her mistakes at her or even call her a name. I just sat there hurt and shocked. Well since then she has apologized, so i thought everything would go back to normal.. I was wrong the situation with the boy has gotten much much worse and she is ignoring me now. I just don't know what to do. I'm so hurt by what is happening and i can't imagine someone else being my maid of honor. Plus i can't get over how immature the argument was. Her sister and mother are both very special people in my life as well and her sister is also a bridesmaid and they both are helping out while my MOH has yet to do anything! To me i sound selfish, but to my fiance he says my MOH is supposed to be there and supportive. and im getting more and more frustrated because if she said sorry and admitted she was wrong i forgave her then what is going on now? i have asked her sister if she thinks my MOH still wants to be my MOH and she said she is sure of it.. then whats with the ignoring? i dont want to involve the sister or the mother because its between us two. But she wont answer calls, texts, facebook messages, nothing. what should i do? i feel like i'm being let down in a huge way, and i also think ignoring someone is really immature. HELP

Anyone have ideas as to how the finale will be? what will happen? the suspense is killing me, but at the same time i don't want the show to end.. i admit its a lot like a soap, but it reminds me so much of middle school and high school with my girl friends that i cant stop watching!

I am so0o0o sad about this being the last season.. and the first of the last 4 episodes starts tonight! what are everyone's thoughts about it ending? I know its been a crazy ride and is so much like a soap Opera that they show reruns on the SOAP channel, but still... How do you think its going to end? Brooke pregnant? marrying Julian? mouth and skills really aren't friends anymore?

My biological father and i have not spoken in many many years. he is a very dark and disturbed man ruined by drugs. I don't feel he should have the honor of giving me away... it would be as if i'd walked across the street and asked my neighbor to do it... I do have a step-dad who has been part of my life since my parents divorce (my mother had had an affair).. but my brother and my dads side of the family swear they will not attend if he walks me down the aisle. I don't want to be walked down by my mother for personal reasons. What are my options? I have considered my best friend aka my maid of honor whom i've been friends with for 14 years and lived with since i was 17 or maybe having her mother do it because i am so very close to her and also call her mom. grandfathers are out because i have none living and my brother wont do it so as not to hurt my biological father... Help PLEASE!!

A few years ago i adopted a dog from the humane society. We already had one dog that belonged to my father. Well my parents got divorced and my fathers dog had passed away. I was about to go away to college so i let my dad have my dog. He has grown very attached to the dog and i no longer consider her mine. I have since graduated and my new Fiance and i are now looking for a pet. Am i still able to adopt from the humane society even tho i gave the last dog away? and if i tell them i gave the dog away will they take her from my father? She is in a very good home and very much loved.
