How much would brake installtion cost on a 1994 Chevy Astro Passenger Van?
I have a 1994 Chevy Astro Van and my van makes a sqeaking & slight grinding sound when I come to a stop. I assume from what my stepdad says (hes a mechanic that lives far away) that I need new brake pads and possible new rotors. My question is how much will the brake pads run me and an installation of these brake pads at any local repair shop here in Sacramento, CA? I just wanna know what real price range I am looking at here. I refuse to let them rip me off. I just want the back brake pads replaced is all. Any ideas how much?

Well, it could be the back pads, I would guess the front.
About $125.00 somewhere like Pep Boys or similar for resurfacing rotors and new pads. Maybe a little more for new rotors and pads. Rotors = $35.00 each? Lifetime pads = $35.00? Labor on top of that. Just guesstimations of course.
