OMG...I can't believe I'm answering this other than to get two points. What would be the benefit to show together?...get real. You know good and well why it wouldn't work. They don't even sleep in the same space/compartment/barracks.... Back in the day when I went to boot camp men and women trained separately. We weren't allowed to look at each other. The only time we saw the men was during chapel services. Rape has little to do with it...it has to do with common decency and decorum. People in the military don't give up all the customs and social mores that we as a western society are used to. Privacy is a big thing. While during certain times such as training or during some deployments you have very little of it....they haven't got to the point were it is acceptable for men and women to shower or sleep together...for all obvious reasons it just doesn't work. Your argument comparing it to gays is wack. It has nothign to do with men and women. You are comparing apples to oranges.

There is a very funky play called "Beyond Therapy" that has funny scenes involving a man and his female therapist (who happens to be nuts).

It has very interesting dialogue and would match your age disparity very well.
