What would happen if Attila the Hun did not die on the night of his wedding?

Do you think he would be a constant threat to Rome despite the presence of Pope Leo XIII, or, would become it's ally?...

At the time of his death Attila had called off his invasion of Italy because of atacks on his own home turf farther north. Contrary to what has long been believed, the pope was at best a secondary factor in his decision to withdraw. Had Attila lived longer he might've resumed his assault on Italy later, regardless of what some holy joe wanted.
