any california anglers got the new warden stickers yet?

they just came out this year.

optional. not required. 5 bucks each.

the money goes to purchase special equipment for the game wardens. him seeing a sticker on your car should earn you some extra brownie points.

l bought 4. one for the car, 3 as collectibles. these are the first ones, after all.

Update:

definitely for the cause, devyn.

but as licenses are finally beginning to catch on as collectibles, these should also.

let's start a contest. whoever buys the most, WINS!

these are available on line and out of state anglers are allowed to purchase them also.

right here:

Update 2:

IXOVII...

not quite what l had in mind. l doubt that any poacher would purchase one anyway. even a license. the warden isn't the bad guy. he will look favorably on anyone that realizes their problems and does his part to help. the one l spoke with purchased 4 himself.

I went out and got 2 of em, but haven't done anything with them yet. They are sitting in my car waiting to be applied to the window of my car and the window of my girlfriend's car. I didn't think of getting any as collectibles... you think they will be something to hold on to? I wouldn't mind buying a couple more because of the cause...

Don't see how something like this could give a person brownie points, although you can try to plead a case like what is written below.

Hey! Game warden, don't give me a ticket for poaching, that illegal sized fish, that one or two extra fish on top of the allowed limit, Look! I got a warden sticker on my car window/bumper. Shoot, I got some for my own personal collection. Please, be lenient on me for buying extra stickers.

Just a joke, not saying the question creator is any of these. Should have put that in this the first place.

Here is an edit of things here where I am at in Alaska.

We don't really have anything like that here in Alaska, we have our licenses, and if you want to fish for king salmon you pay extra for a tag and it has been like this for awhile now.

The extra money from the licenses when they raised the prices is supposed to be used for many different programs, e.t.c.

But it seems to not really be used for anything at all, because many do take more fish or catch their fish illegally, and not enough manpower for game wardens to go and catch them.

They have a number to call and turn in people, and they try to only rely on this for violations.

But, I often wonder how many even get a ticket in the mail, or one hand delivered, when a person has given info about a person that done illegal things like keep snagged fish, or kept more than they are allowed.

Your supposed to give a description of the person, and get a license plate number if you follow them to their vehicle after you witness a person doing something illegal in fishing.

We really don't have many fish and game wardens here, so one can see many violations committed while on the water.

After all the years of when they raised the prices of the fishing licenses, a person may think enough money has been generated to get more manpower to go after ones who violate regulations.
