Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Does anyone know what would prevent a website (that has always worked fine) from loading correctly?

Update:

I don't know if this matters or not, but the website is trying to load on one that I already have running. This is part of an assignment that I need to turn in. Please help!

    Too much traffic on the website (lots of people trying to access it at once), pop-up blockers can also sometimes interfere with website functionality. It could also be a simple server error where the website's server isn't working right or undergoing maintenance.

    Specific malicious software will do this in order to prevent their extermination. I have often seen malicious software block microsoft update site, NOD website, and multiple others. I would run malwarebytes and spybot scans.

    One thing you can try ...

    Start -> Run -> services.msc

    Find DNS Client, right click and select "stop"

    Wait a few seconds ...

    right click again on DNS Client and select "start"

    Try connecting to the site again.
