Will Mayweather look like a fool if he uses the "shoulder roll" against an experienced Mosley?

it has worked for him throughout his career but i think it might fail if he attempts it against someone who knows every trick in the book. But i'm sure many here have something different to say, so lets here it!

We will find out what happens when a fighter of almost equal hand speed and greater power forces Floyd to fight instead of running behind a jab and pot shotting. The shoulder roll is a result of smart defense, every fighter worth their salt understands the value of protecting their chin, and tucking your chin behind your shoulder in an attempt to counter works against anyone if done properly, even Mosley. The real question is can Mosley consistently pressure Floyd and make him fight, if Shane can do that, he will beat Mayweather. I am of of the few who give Shane a very realistic chance to beat Floyd, Mosley has always been Floyd's stylistic equal, the only real factor in Floyd's favor is the potential wear and tear on Mosley, Shane's best was at 135 lbs. fighting Floyd at 147 a half dozen years past his prime cannot benefit Shane, but the fact that Shane is in the ring with Floyd at all is a small miracle, I never expected Floyd to take such a risk. This fight is going to be a great one, and I won't be the lest bit surprised if afterward Floyd is 40-1.

That "shoulder roll" is way overstated in Mayweather's style by a lot of observers because it looks so different from what a lot of guys do. Floyd fights most of the fight near the center of the ring, with his hands held pretty high up, he doesn't stand with one arm on his side, he uses that technique most when he is on the ropes and can use the ropes for extra balance.

If he relies on it while near the middle of the ring he is vunerable to be knocked off balance, like he was against Judah a few times in the first part of their fight....which is why he won't do it.

Mayweather has beaten may notable fighters. That is a great defense for him. It leaves his left arm free for his left hoof. The last 6 fights he fought we all champions or former champions.
