Canadians, is this true?

I had heard from a co-worker that in Canada fireworks were forbidden and couldn't be used on their independence day but that because of a fear of not being politically correct Indians could celebrate their independence day with them. Was she just making stuff up gossiping or is this a real and true thing?

Well we do have more laws restricting the use of fire works but no we do have them. They are expensive and not as explosive as some of what is offered in Indiana.

We have fire work displays at many city centres during long weekends like Canada Day and such. As well people can buy and set them off on their own properties.

However your co-worker does have some merite that the Canadian "politically correct culture" has been putting a stop to Canadians expressing any traditions that they feel won't make immigrants comfortable... sad really but many left wing nuts are working to remove Xmas as much as possible all the while promoting immigrant tradidtions! yes I know it doesn't make sense.

Where I live in Canada, that's true, except on Canada Day. But people still use fireworks where I live for many days after Canada Day and sometimes teenagers in the area light fireworks up in the park or in the park's garbage cans. T_T The teenagers are kind of crazy where I live, the other day these boys were using up a fire extinguisher in the park making clouds of white puffs. O.o

    Not true,

We set off fireworks all the time during holidays.

It's not illegal nor politically incorrect.
