I would totally agree with you. But you do have to be careful of who you are blasting - many on here get cloned by idiots that want to be trolls, and nothing more. I have never blocked anyone (and believe me when I say I had just cause on quite a few), but I get blocked by people because of an opposing viewpoint, and nothing more. I will admit to being an "educated rectum" a time to two, but I would hardly see it as being enough to be blocked. Some on here are merely looking for an ego stroking, so they only allow those that have like opinions to answer.

I only block people if they block me, and yeah, I agree, blocking people is for cowards... I don't make my Q&A public because the trolls already do a good enough job of tracking down all of my questions and answers for a day and reporting me so they can try to get me banned... at least wanna make em work for it

Sometimes I cannot resist the temptation to block those who make insulting personal comments or abuse in their answer. Also, because I use "girl" in my name they assume I am a juvenile and offer nasty advice.

Blocking someone just means that they are scared they can't argue with you and admit defeat. Same with reporting.
