    Moni, it is the people you love, and the people who love you and your faith in God, that are most important. It does seem that most of us are struggling to keep a house and family going and sometimes the routine of everyday life makes us tired and weary. When we die we are not taking our money with us. So it is the people we love and the good that we do as we are on our earthly journey that counts most.

    Actually, not to be a dick, the neolithic age was a long period of hunter-gathers (pre-money) that did not rely on money. Money didn't come about until the first civilizations arose, but that's besides the point. Money may seem like the most important thing to some but that is only because of current culture. The most important thing in life is to sustain life and plan for future generations. After all, you work hard to get a good paying job to eventually start a family and raise children in hopes to give them the help they need to do the same. The point isn't the money but the success in survival. Money is only important now because our civilization is set up to where we can survive by having money. If we didn't have the farmers, manufactures and markets then money would be useless because we would have to provide food and shelter ourselves. What I'm trying to say is the ultimate goal is to keep the human species alive as long as possible and we need to do what ever it takes to do so. If you want a tangible goal then look into the Field of science. Science offers plenty of careers and opportunities and is the structure for discovering and creating all the tools humans need to survive this world.

    Money, Sex, and Power do not buy you happiness, so nope not all that important. I'm celibate, so no sex. I'm still totally happy with my life and feel fulfilled. I'm a college student, I don't have any power. Still happy? Yup. Don't have money either, again college student. So I'd say, heck no to those 3. Love, resilience, optimism/hope, realistic expectations are the four most important in my opinion. Love is an obvious one. Resilience, if you can't roll with life's punches, you're not going to be very happy. You'll just wallow in the bad parts Optimism/Hope, if you can't learn to find the silver lining and have hope for a better tomorrow, all you'll ever notice is the stormy clouds that constitute life's downs. Realistic Expectations, if you always think that you're going to have every single thing in life and think that everything can be perfect, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. No one's life is perfect, and yours won't be either. There are going to be good times, and there are going to be bad times. if you're resilient, positive, and realistic you should be able to get yourself whatever else you want by applying these traits. I.e. the smart, resilient, realistic law student, will most likely become an attorney. With these skills they earn money, which gets them power, which gets them laid.

    Everything. Money is only means to an end. Let's say you're stranded in a desert and have nothing to drink or eat, but you have an abundance of gold, silver, jewels, and precious stones. Would they be any good if you can't buy any food or water with those, nor use them to call for help or get rescued?

    However, unless you have some sick fetish, and the literal presence of money makes you feel good, then yes, money is perhaps the most important thing.

    Too simple. Depends on your situation. If you're broke and hungry, you might say money is it, but actually if offered a great steak dinner you might say "food is it." If you're in a war fire-fight, you might say "getting this over" is the most important thing. If you're in love, it's something else. Even Shakespeare showed different things important (judged by his 3 stages of a man's life as shown by a man's behavior). In short, it all depends.

    The list is about endless, but the no-brainers lead with;

    air

    water

    warmth

    health

    ...

    Money can buy much of the list (but it cannot buy me!). If you cannot breathe, you will offer to give me every penny that you own if I could provide a bit of air for you to breathe. The interesting twist is that I will help you or not, completely irrelevent of money offered. All your money isnt important TO ME.

    I guess that it is a matter of Perspective.

    Graciousness, being kind and being charitable are very, very wonderful qualities.

    Money does count.

    But if you make the most money in the world and lose your family, you may lose your priorities.

    We can do two or three things very well in life, such as have integrity, character, a family, and be financially successful.

    Honor and dignity.

    I can live without money. I will find a way around it. But I definitely can not live without honor and dignity. A man without honor and dignity is a man ceased to exist.
