Suns-Spurs what do you think? Who will win the series?
The Suns have a much deeper bench, especially when they light up from downtown. Goran Dragic, Jared Dudley, Channing Frye, and Leandro Barbosa are very good 3 point shooters, not only that, but they provide a huge spark off the bench. Lou Amundson is also a very good physical defender and hustle player.
Steve Nash is still Steve Nash. Amar'e Stoudemire is at his best. Jason Richardson has been HOT this post-season. J-Rich is the X-factor the Suns have been looking for. Grant Hill has been consistent. And of course, Robin Lopez will be playing. Lopez is a great defender and rebounder who fits the Suns' offense the Suns' didn't have.
Most of all, the Suns are hungry. Nash and Hill are near the end of their careers. The Suns have redemption in their hearts. They are facing the team that kicked them out of the playoffs four times in last 5 appearances. The Spurs also robbed the Suns of the title in 2007. The Spurs don't have anything to lose, they got 4 rings.
Also, the Suns have home court advantage, which is big against the Spurs. Tim Duncan is not the Tim Duncan that used to carry the team. Shut down Ginobili and the Spurs usually lose.
Predcition: This is the Suns' time! Suns in 6
Who will win the series in how many games? Why?

Most likely the Spurs will resort to letting Nash and Stoudamire score at will, which will make them look amazing, but its really what the Spurs want, since allowing the rest of the team rain 3's and get confident is more of a threat. (They did this with Nowitzki/Butler and Nowitzki/Terry, while shutting down everyone else).
George Hill shut down Kidd, and will probably hinder Nash just a tiny bit too.
I actually dont know anyone on the Suns team that can guard Ginobili.
The same way you say Steve Nash will be Steve Nash, the same can be said with Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili, so its really irrelevant.
The Factors that matter in this series is how well Jason Richardson does and how well George Hill does because both players, when playing well, can get strong and really can determine the outcome all by themselves.
Also...the spurs just took out the MAVS. THE MAVS! IN 6!??!?!?
They held the MAVS to 4 games of less than 90 points! THE MAVS! That is DEFENSE.
that team won 13 staight? whaat?!? 2nd seed?! Spurs won Game 2 ON THE ROAD? hmmm...
.....for some reason, phoenix having home court does NOT MATTER one bit, all of a sudden.
oh...and the suns took out a crippled blazers team in 6 games where the only threat was ....aldridge? i think?...well....yeah aldridge...and miller?....
There are more threats on the Spurs than a couple of 2nd option scorers. They are all healthy. repeat.ALL HEALTHY. and have found another scoring threat besides the obvious big 3, in George Hill.
PG matchup --Suns -Nash an All star VS Hill second year blossoming guard
SG matchup --Spurs -Ginobili a bat-swatter VS streaky jason richardson
SF matchup --Tie - an ok richard jefferson VS an ok grant hill
PF matchup --Suns - aging tim duncan VS exploder amare s
C matchup --Spurs - experienced mcdyss VS who? jaron collins? who the hell is that?
Bench -- Tie - a consistent/solid Parker, Blair, couple of 3 point shooters VS an army of 3 point guards and a single hustle player
Coaching --Spurs . Popavich. VS Gentry. cmon. gentry? yeah right.
Game1 -spurs win, somewhat "stunning" phoenix.

Game3 -spurs win, physical game, down to the end
Game4 -spurs win
Game5 -suns win, bounce back with blowout
Game6 -spurs win, recover and take the series.

by far the suns. Steve Nash and Amar'e are a killer PG to PF/C group. J Rich is been good, and so has Barbosa. But the key point that could give the series to the Spurs is Robin Lopez. Unlike his bro, he has not skyrocketed but has to try and to get somewhere like 13-14 points, and 6-7 rebounds.
Suns in 6 and 103-102 Suns in game 1

im taking spurs, the west was very tigh only 5 games seperated #2 from #8 and the spurs had major injury problems during the regular season that kept them from having their big three on the floor together, if it wasnt for that they probably would be a higher seed. and theese three know how to play together since theve been together so long with the same coach. this is gonna be a close series and the suns are scrappy, but the spurs arnt corpses yet, ill take the spurs in 7, suns win game 1. and i dissagree about the suns having a deeper bench.

No no no! Who do the suns have to shut down Ginobili. Grant hill ha ha ginobili is not andre miller. Bottom line jrich is x factor but spurs play defense. Stoudemire Nash will get theres but wont be enough. Spurs in six.

In my view suns have the best bench thats why for half the 2nd quarter of every game our whole second unit is out there handling the job.
