Prince (No. 1 Suns Fan)
I'm a solid Suns fan and I love the NBA
Why is Blake Griffin so overrated?
Blake Griffin an all star selection over these players? Arguable Kevin Love's selection over these players is stupid too
Steve Nash- Scores as much as Chris Paul, Dishes more assists, scores far more efficiently. If he somehow becomes injured, Suns should look like the Cavs
Zach Randolph- 20 and 13, with the Grizzlies having a winning record
Monta Ellis- 25ppg. Warriors have faired well better than the Wolves and Clips.
Lamarcus Aldridge- Career Highs? Portland in a playoff seed with no Brandon Roy?
Griffin and Love over what Steve Nash is still contributing in Phoenix? Really?
10 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoAmar'e Stoudemire for MVP?
During the off season, people didn't even think twice that the Knicks are going to be good this season even when Amare signed with them. They said, Steve Nash only makes Amare Stoudemire a superstar. Now the Knicks are one of the best teams in the east and Amar'e Stoudemire looks primed for the best season of his career. Don't overlook this guy, he is a legit contender for MVP this season and even if he doesn't get it, he will in the future.
Have you even seen the Knicks roster? David Lee and Harrington left, their two best players! Replaced by Amare Stoudemire and the Knicks suddenly gelled. When role players like Chandler, Galo, Felton, etc play around a superstar they play so well. I mean look at Memphis, they have a very good roster and yet they lack a superstar to center the team around, Gay hasn't really fit that spot and Randolph too. Amar'e Stoudemire is that superstar. Like Dirk for the Mavs, Durant for the Thunder, Dwight for the Magic.
Amar'e Stoudemire is my MVP. Kobe won't win as long as he's got a super talented team. Lebron and Wade won't win it playing with each other. Durant won't win it unless his team overachieves and wins like 57 or more games. Dwight? Maybe? Stoudemire can really do it. If the Knicks win 50 games?
What do you think?

3 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWhy do people use championships as basis for greatness... Kobe Overrated?
People usually say Kobe is great because he has 5 rings. Other players particularly Steve Nash is consistenetly UNDERRATED because he has not gotten into the finals.. My question, Has Steve Nash ever been given a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM? Kobe has Gasol, Bynum, Artest, and Odom players with proven skills and are all star caliber. I mean so what if Kobe won the 2010 Championship, everyone expected him to win not only because he's so good but rather he has the best team. Imagine Lebron in place of Kobe with the Lakers, that'd surely will win also.
Kobe can't even get a sub-playoff team past the Suns with only Steve Nash and Shawn Marion. in 2006. I mean Nash always makes him team exceed expectations. The best team Nash ever had was with Amare and Marion and these guys would not build a championship team. Who'd ever though Nash would go back to the Western finals again last year with a roster that didn't even make the playoffs in 2009? Kobe doesn't exceed expectations, he scored 35ppg in 2006 and can't even get past the so called OVERRATED and DEFENSELESS Nash in 2006? Nash's teammates sucked, only Marion was good. Nash had to make Diaw, Barbosa and Bell so good. Now look at the three of them no longer with Nash and are forgotten in the league.
I even believe Malon is better than Duncan, Nash better than Stockton. Nash is a better shooter, scorer and passer that Stockton. I mean Stockton had the team of his dreams with the best PF in NBa history. So what if these guys didn't have rings? It doesn't change how good they are.
10 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoHow to beat the Lakers in NBA 2k10? Using the New Jersey Nets?
The Lakers are very easy to use in 2k10.. Gasol and Bynum grabs all the rebounds and Kobe is automatic when he gets hot. Its very hard to beat this team? What strategy can I do to beat them? There's a tournament and people will probably use the Lakers and Heat, I'm going with the Nets. Any advice on beating these two teams?
10 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWOW here we go again with the Phoenix Suns?
Last season, the Suns were predicted not to make the playoffs. They were supposed to over achieve just to make the 7th or 8th spot. Nash was "old" Hill was "old" Amare "sucks" J-rich "does no fit". Yet the Suns made the 3rd seed and the western finals.
Now, the Suns are AGAIN being predicted of not making the playoffs and they'd have to over achieve to make the 7th or 8th seed again. This is mainly due to the departure of Amar'e Stoudemire, the 2nd best PF in the game.
I beg to disagree, I think the SUNS will make the 2nd seed. Yes, the 2nd behind the Lakers. Why? The BEST and DEEPEST BENCH in the NBA got deeper with Hakeem Warrick and Josh Childress. Hedo Turkoglu? Nash will make him look like an all star player again.
Nash
J-Rich
Hill
Turkoglu
Lopez
Dragic
Dudley
Childress
Warrick
Frye
Clark
Lawal

BQ- What seed will Phoenix have in the 2011 playoffs? Do you think they'll make it?
8 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoOmg.. this is the end of us... Phoenix Suns?
A lot of Suns fans are actually celebrating that STAT will most likely be leaving at this point and the Suns signing Hakim Warrick. Those people are STUPID. Amar'e Stoudemire is our offense, franchise player, and our future. He is the foundation of our system. Without him our Suns went from a contender to a lottery team. Let's face it, Steve Nash may still be the best PG in the league but without Amar'e the Suns will not win. Hakim Warrick is a bench player and he isn't even a quarter of what Amar'e Stoudemire can do.
People say STAT's problems: defense, rebounding, etc... Nevertheless, the Suns are still one of the elite WITH Amar'e. Now? there is nothing..No one can replace him, Even Chris Bosh and Carlos Boozer would not value more than Stoudemire in Phoenix. I don't even have to remind you that Amar'e Stoudemire is a top 10 player in the league, a first all -nba teamer, perennial all star and the most dominant big man and best offensive big man in the NBA.
Those Suns fans who are celebrating, let's see what you think when the season starts and we're screwed.

3 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoRealistically, Lakers vs Suns? What do you think?
Techinically the Suns have owned the Lakers since 2004. Nash' Suns have kicked out the Lakers when they meet in the playoffs, twice that happened.
Obviously, I'm on the Suns' side here.
How do the Lakers usually win? Kobe Bryant and their Frontcourt
Grant Hill/Jared Dudley will try to contain Kobe. The Suns DO NOT lack height. Robin Lopez is 7'0 who is known for his defense and fits the Suns' offense perfectly will be back. He will be able to guard Gasol one on one. Channing Frye is almost 7'0. Amar'e Stoudemire is 6'10. The MVP of the Lakers is actually their frontcourt. This is what carries the Lakers.
How do the Suns usually win?
What makes the Suns so good is that they can win in a lot of ways. They can win by Steve Nash scoring and putting up 30 and 10. They can win by a Nash-Stoudemire dominance. They can win by Channing Frye and Jared Dudley heating up. They can win by Nash controlling the tempo and have balanced scoring. They can win by Jason Richardson scoring a boatload of points. They can even win by Goran Dragic. But of course, they cannot win by that alone but rather by teamwork. I'm just stressing the biggest factor.
Probably the biggest factor of the Suns winning against the Lakers is their defense and containing the front court of the Lakers. We know Kobe is gonna get 30. The Suns have actually improved a lot on Defense but if they are to win this series they need to be consistent. On offense, the Suns need to control the tempo.

9 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoHere's a question.. has there been any team in NBA history...?
Has there any NBA team in history that DID NOT make the playoffs for a season then made the playoffs the next season, with at least a 3rd seed and went on to the conference finals, WITHOUT MAKING ANY BIG ADDITIONS?
In big additions I mean impact players or all star players added to the team.
And if there is? How did they do it?
Of course I am referring to the Suns, who did not make the playoffs last season. They lost an all star in Shaq and yet made the playoffs with a 3rd seed with no additions except a decent player in Channing Frye and are on the verge of making the conference finals.

11 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoSuns-Spurs what do you think? Who will win the series?
The Suns have a much deeper bench, especially when they light up from downtown. Goran Dragic, Jared Dudley, Channing Frye, and Leandro Barbosa are very good 3 point shooters, not only that, but they provide a huge spark off the bench. Lou Amundson is also a very good physical defender and hustle player.
Steve Nash is still Steve Nash. Amar'e Stoudemire is at his best. Jason Richardson has been HOT this post-season. J-Rich is the X-factor the Suns have been looking for. Grant Hill has been consistent. And of course, Robin Lopez will be playing. Lopez is a great defender and rebounder who fits the Suns' offense the Suns' didn't have.
Most of all, the Suns are hungry. Nash and Hill are near the end of their careers. The Suns have redemption in their hearts. They are facing the team that kicked them out of the playoffs four times in last 5 appearances. The Spurs also robbed the Suns of the title in 2007. The Spurs don't have anything to lose, they got 4 rings.
Also, the Suns have home court advantage, which is big against the Spurs. Tim Duncan is not the Tim Duncan that used to carry the team. Shut down Ginobili and the Spurs usually lose.
Predcition: This is the Suns' time! Suns in 6

1 AnswerBasketball1 decade agoWhy do Heat/Nets/Knicks/Bulls fans keep on dreaming on getting Amar'e Stoudemire?
You think he will not be given an extension? The Suns should give him the contract he wants. I think after what Amare has done and what he is about to do, leading the Suns this post season, he will BE A SUN. I think the only scenario that Amare leaves is if the Suns lose the series to the Blazers which has about a 1% chance of happening.
Thoughts?
8 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWhy is it in NBA career leaders in a category, they don't count the playoffs?
For example:
If Kobe Bryant is 12th in career points having 25,790. But that's only counting his points during the NBA seasons. NOT PLAYOFFS. Why shouldn't he playoffs be counted there? Kobe has career playoff points of 4,441.
Also, If they count Steve Nash's playoffs numbers, Nash would have more than 15,000+ career points and 9000+ career assists.
Why wouldn't they count the playoffs? Surely the record book should count every point/assist/block a player has made. THAT"S WHY IT"S CALLED CAREER POINTS yet, they don't count playoffs.
10 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoSuns-Magic Finals?? Can it happen?
Suns vs Blazers- Suns
Suns vs Mavs/Spurs- Suns (Spurs would give the Suns less challenge, so I hope Spurs)
Nuggets vs Jazz- Nuggets
Nuggets vs Lakers- Nuggets
WEST FINALS: Suns vs Nuggets- Suns
EAST FINALS: Cavs vs Magic- Magic (Magic has more depth that's why I think they will edge Cavs)
FINALS: Suns vs Magic (2009 Season series: 1-1, 2010 Season series: 1-1)
Can this happen?

6 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoChances of the Phoenix Suns for the title?
The Suns are still the Suns, maybe improved.
Steve Nash will be Steve Nash.
Amar'e Stoudemire is at his best.
Jason Richardson is the x-factor
Suns have their 3 point weapons. (Nash, Frye, Dudley, Richardson, Barbosa, Dragic)
Suns have improved defense/rebounding , far improved. (For the paint, Amar'e Stoudemire has improved. Robin Lopez is a beast. Lou Amundson can post anyone, Channing Frye can defend down low.)
Suns have 1 on 1 defenders. (Dudley and Hill) also, perimeter (Barbosa, Dragic, Hill)
Suns are hungry and have momentum
I believe the Suns can win the west if the Lakers are defeated by the Nuggets or Jazz. If they face the Lakers in the finals, the Suns will have less chance. If they manage to get to the finals they have no chance against the Cavs, only against the Magic. A lot of circumstances for them to have the best chance.
Question:
Chances for the Suns to win the title?
IMO- 10%
Chances for the Finals
IMO-25%
Chances for Conference Finals
IMO- 60%
Your opinion and why?
