WOW here we go again with the Phoenix Suns?
Last season, the Suns were predicted not to make the playoffs. They were supposed to over achieve just to make the 7th or 8th spot. Nash was "old" Hill was "old" Amare "sucks" J-rich "does no fit". Yet the Suns made the 3rd seed and the western finals.
Now, the Suns are AGAIN being predicted of not making the playoffs and they'd have to over achieve to make the 7th or 8th seed again. This is mainly due to the departure of Amar'e Stoudemire, the 2nd best PF in the game.
I beg to disagree, I think the SUNS will make the 2nd seed. Yes, the 2nd behind the Lakers. Why? The BEST and DEEPEST BENCH in the NBA got deeper with Hakeem Warrick and Josh Childress. Hedo Turkoglu? Nash will make him look like an all star player again.
Nash
J-Rich
Hill
Turkoglu
Lopez
Dragic
Dudley
Childress
Warrick
Frye
Clark
Lawal
Your thoughts??
BQ- What seed will Phoenix have in the 2011 playoffs? Do you think they'll make it?

not trying to offend suns but, i don't think they will make into the playoffs why:
-Stud the "2nd best pf" in the NBA right now is gone. suns system is all off. little d.
Stud is one of the great finishers in the league. so w/o him,, who will do shots with the suns??
the
-Barbosa. one of the best finishers of the suns. now he is gone.
-Turkuglo's offense is good but he is slow,, suns last season are run-and-gun and he is not gonna fit in.
-Big Man. one of the suns weakness last season was the line up of their big man. since stud is gone,, they are f'ed with their big man.
-age is really a factor for them this season. Turk-31 , Nash-37, Hill-38.
there are still many weaknesses to the suns that i can't mention but i still believe in them
i hope young players will step up and improve. we never know dude, in NBA, anything can happen.(Yes, like Isiah Thomas getting another job on the Knicks)

I hate how the media keeps saying how deep and superior the Western Conference is when it's pretty much the Lakers and then everyone else year in year out. So I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns finish with the 3rd seed again (at best). I don't think any other team in the conference really improved so far, and it's not like the Suns style of play will change because they lost Amar'e, so why couldn't they finish with a high seed?

I agree with you; the Suns look good for next year, and I can see them making the conference finals again. I think Steve Nash and their new addition, Turkoglu, will work well together. Lopez, Warrick and Frye may need to lift their game a bit though, to fill the place Amar'e left.

Yes that was true even if i thought theyd make it anyway, but i think theyll get a pretty long way again, becouse their only remarcable opposits are lakers and thunder, but im not so sure anymore with amares departure but id say about 3rd seed

If you hear someone say that the suns are nothing now without amare, or, there no longer championship contenders, just remind them what road that team went down the last time they lost stoudamire, yeah, they took the road that lead straight to the western conferance finals. AND YES I KNOW I HAVE KOBE IN MY SCREEN NAME, I'm just an overall basketball fan.
