Why are a lot of religious people so oblivious?
Okay, so I hate directing this question at one religion, but just wondering. I guess I would be considered Atheist, but I don't like defining myself with barriers. Yet, I was attracted to a Christian youtube channel that was full of Christian music videos and I was just amazed that the people almost seemed hypnotized. I guess to me it is not even a question of how I was brought to be, and it in no way involved a god. So, I guess I am just wondering how it is that some people can just be so incredibly oblivious to everything. I am not saying this includes all Christians, or religions in general, but I just do not understand how people can deny so much evidence backing up things like the Big Bang and evolution.
No, I honestly can not say I know what triggered the big bang, but people have figured out what happened, temperatures and all, up to milliseconds after the big bang. But, see I guess that is the thing about scientists, they admit when they do not know an answer and instead of making something up, they search for the answer.

Oh, I dunno. I'm a born-again Christian and I believe in the Big Bang and evolution. From what i understand, there are 'levels' of Christians--that is to say, how much of the Bible do we take as ACTUAL. For me, I think that God made the Big Bang, and then sort of sat back and watched--until He had to send Jesus as savior for the world. Someone told me there are 10 identifiable levels.
On the other end, there are those that believe exactly what is in the Bible, as it is written. Adam and Eve walked with dinosaurs, because the earth is only 6,000 years old, etc, etc.
Take it with a grain of salt. These Christian singers make a good living saying what they're saying, and since you can't be on my end without offending those on the other end, they play it safe and take the extreme view.

normal christians and the church arnt against the big bang or evolution
science has no contradiction with religion
science explains how and religion explains why
science explains what we see and can prove while religion tries to explain what we cannot see or prove
even with the big bang and evolution can you say what started either of those?
