What does Costco do with the stuff that's returned?
I'm sure that if I return something completely unusable (like the time some bread went moldy within a couple of days after purchase), it goes straight into the trash. I'm pretty sure some things go back on the shelf, too.
But what about, say, half a package of canned goods that are within their expiration date? Or electronics that work but that are out of the packaging? You know, stuff they can't sell, but that would be silly to throw out...?
Thanks for any answers!

I don't know about the food, but the electronics and such go back to the manufacturer, who usually sells it as a refurbished item. Clothes probably also go back to the manufacturer, who may sell it in bulk to cheap places like TJ Maxx, etc.?

haha, I think the only way you'd be able to do that is if you say you're not satisfied with the quality, otherwise they won't give you back your money.
