thoughts on this girl name?

I met a woman today whose last name is Penis. (Not a joke) Pronounced pen ess. Her daughters name is Brooke Mia Penis. my nephew who is 5 called her broke my penis, not knowing that isnt how you say her name. what are your thoughts on this name? Do allot of people do that, give their kids names no one knows how to say?

I corrected him on her name.

Update:

that really is the daughters name.

Update 2:

it is not made up.

Update 3:

why does every one think it is made up people give kids weird names all the time.

Celebs do it often enough with names like

Coco

Apple

Update 4:

said the correct way it is a nice name but i would never use it.

    Wow. That name is crazy.

The parents should have thought the name through before giving that name to their daughter.

Some people gave give their kids names that no one knows how to pronounce, but I don't like it.

I prefer more common names, or names that may be uncommon but have simple spelling that aren't usually mispronounced.

I feel bad for this girl with a name that can be easily read as "Broke my Penis."

Well there are names that I've come across that was hard to pronounce. Brooke nor Mia is hard too pronounce. Actually those names are common. But Penis on the other hand , not so much. I've would've pronounce it penis too; that's how it is spell. I know its a hassle to get last names changed.

Well it's not her fault that her last name is spelled Penis ... that's just unfortunate, poor little girl :( but the parents probably could've thought long and hard about the name.

I think a lot of people want to be different, instead of using common names like Sarah or Emily or whatever ... which is fine to a degree. But you don't see it in just names, it also happens with say weddings for example: people want to have extravegent weddings that no one will forget. They wanna be unique and remembered. And I guess that's why people give their children interesting names.

coco is a real name from a famous french song. it does not mean cocoa as in chocolate. coco chanel took it as a nickname after she sang the song as a girl. also it set her apart seeing as her name was gabriella, and she was trying to make a name for herself. gweneth paltrow is a total weirdo for naming her kid apple, it doesn't make it ok.

  • Among all the silly names I see people name their kids, I highly doubt that happened....

With that said, if you are telling the truth (which again, I doubt) then I think you already know everyones opinions.
