male, shortish brown hair, what colour to dye?

Question

Im a male 16 yrs old, got short but not too short medium brown hair. i want something different. not sure if i should completely dye my hair or get lowlights or highlights or what. any colour suggestions and that will be greatly appreciated =]. my hair is rather thick but looks pretty mad when i straighten it.

Update:

I've been suggested black with blond highlights, black with blue highlights, brown with blonde tips.... what are your opinions on any of those?

They would look nice on some people but if you want to be safe don't go for highlights that are too bright/light. If i were you, e.g. Dark brown hair with hazel?

there's a clean dye which eliminates the colour youve only utilized, and could get it back for your organic colour which it grow to be previously. Ive used it and it has continuously worked extremely properly. Its the colour B4... you are able to purchase it at some different shops except boots. take a go searching. :)

Since your a guy i wouldnt try and do heaps of fancy streaks and highlights in your hair, i like natural and your hair sounds nice as it is, but if anything go darker. :)
