Help cooking brown rice!?

I have a rice cooker and it makes white rice just fine! I'm having trouble cooking brown rice though. I'm using the same ratio I do with the white rice, it just isn't coming out the same. Any tips?

Also, I hear you can cook oatmeal using a rice cooker. How does that work?
