    Hi Asantha,

I work at Swinburne and thought I might be able to provide you some help. Our Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program is a three-year course of study and has different specialised streams. If you are interested in software development you can select this study area as a specialised stream, you will also be able to major in ICT and select electives (8) to specialise further in either .NET, C# or Java.

Software Development is still a strong area for employment with lucrative opportunities for travel and work internationally. Organisations are also requiring versatile, business-savvy software specialists who can confidently interact and communicate with a range of people from clients through to technical programmers.

We have a Careers and Employment Service to help students prepare themselves for work during and after their studies. We also offer Professional Year Programs in Computer Science that give students the chance to enhance their qualification and gain real experience in the workplace.

    Each program includes:

    Practical training and workshops

    A 12-week, hands-on industry internship

Access to networking opportunities and professional development.

Hope this info helps. Let us know if you have any more questions, international@swin.edu.au
