    AXONS = away...so DENDRITES move signals toward the nerve cell body.

    Dendrites. The axon carries signals away from the cell. "Dendros" means "tree", a reference to the branching structure of dendrites.

    dendrites!

    signals are received by the dendrites and taken to the nucleus, which passes it to the axon, that takes the signal to the next neuron.
