PCOS & Pregnancy Success Stories?

I was diagnosed w/ PCOS 4 yrs ago & have been on Metformin for it ever since. I got off the pill a year ago because I knew it would take me longer to get pregnant than the average person. I get married in 1 month & plan on talking to my doctor & getting on fertility treatments to speed up the process. I just want to hear of any of your success stories, what you did, & how long did you try before conceiving?

I also have PCOS, I havnt tried any treatments yet but I just had blood work done so that I can. I do have a success story though. Last year I got pregnant with no help. I hadnt ovulated in 3 months and all of a sudden I ovulated and got pregnant with identical twins!!! It was a huge shocker for me and my husband :)

Our story didnt have a happy ending because I went into labor at 22 weeks and our babies only lived a couple hours but it had absolutely nothing to do with having PCOS.

So dont give up on those long cycles!!! Good Luck!!!

PS I have heard lots of good things about clomid. Maybe look into that

i have a 9 yr old and a 3 yr old. it took us 3 yrs to have my youngest i was on clomid. This time my dr told me i have PCOS so he put me on metformin i was on it a month when i took a test. I was on it a little over a week when i actually got pregnant. My dr was in shock that it worked that fast. I have 2 boys and im 29 weeks pregnant with our baby girl. It can happen just relax and it will. Good Luck to you :)
