My DVD-RAM drive wont work!?

A long time ago it used to burn files onto blank dvd's but just today it wouldn't let me burn anything on my discs. When I put in a blank disk its name changes from DVD-RAM to CD-Drive and the discs show up without any memory just zero bytes.

- I've deleted some of the parts in the registry (MY COMPUTER\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318})

- I'm afraid of uninstalling the drive 'cause I'm still 15 and don't know zip about dealing with this.

P.S. i don't think it was named DVD-RAM before. I could've sworn that it had R/R-W or something.

DRIVER:

TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223Q

P.S.S. It has the labels: SAMSUNG, TruDirect, LightScribe, SuperWritemaster and SpeedPlus on it.

    go to your control panel

    system and security

    device manager

there you will see your CD/DVD drive

right click on it and uninstall

    then switch off your machine

when you turn it back on it will automatically re-install it
