For atheist: Would you be willing to give God a chance?

The only reason there is no evidence of God, is because Atheists don't want to find it.

I did. I loved and worshiped the Christian god for over 20 years. Do you really think the only reason we don't believe in a god is because we didn't try to find it? Most atheists come from religion. We were believers before we were atheists. I was willing to search for him, or her, or whatever I thought might be out there. I searched for YEARS. I prayed and begged and gave everything I had. You want to know what I found? NOTHING.

Already did it.

Now, are you willing to do the same?

Ask your holy spirit to tell you something that you can not know. The colour of the next 10 parked cars that you see, in order. The names of the greeter, waitress and bus boy at a restaurant you have never been to. Shuffle a pack of cards and ask the holy spirit to tell you the top 5 before you have seen them or deal.

If your holy spirit fails any of these scientific tests why would you stay a Christian?

If you are not willing to take one of them then why are you asking us to do it?

When someone comes up with proof there is a sky daddy, every atheist on the planet will believe in one.... just show the proof.

There is none. There never has been proof of any gods.

I believed in God up until three years ago; thirty-five years is enough of a "chance." I'm giving the other side an opportunity now. And, by the way, I'm happier and more peaceful than I ever was as a believer. It might sound as if I'm lying, but I'm not.

Only if you give the other thousands of gods out there a chance as well.

I tried the whole "ask the holy spirit" thing, hundreds of times. No revealing of any kind.

In all of my 50 years, no revealing of any kind.

Attended bible studies, prayer groups, church, had debates, asked pastors, prayed the right prayers, I am open and I AM TRUSTING that god will do something to spark my faith.

Well maybe I do have faith, but nothing has happened so far.

You only believe in god cuz when you were a kid, your parents and everyone around you told you it was real. You were brainwashed.

Atheists are people smart enough to think for ourselves. We dont believe in god because its in a book that was writen 2000 years ago.
