Overnight short stay option at Howrah station?
Will be reaching Kolkota on a Wed night by flight at around 11 pm night, and need to catch the Shatabdi at 6 am next morning from Howrah station. So my questions:
1) What is the best and safest (preferably not costly) way to reach Howrah station at that time of the night from the airport. How much should I expect to pay for that option (what is the distance between the two places?)
2) Once at Howrah station, where can I spend a few night hours until I catch that 6 am train. Are any short duration decent accommodations (with attd toilet) on the station premises itself. Basically what could be my choices and at what cost.

Railway Yatri Niwas near plat form no 17 is the best -ac/non ac rooms available by showing valid ticket no -cost 300 to 900

1.You need to hire taxi.make sure it is pre paid.It will take you an hour and a half.
2. You can use the rest rooms or check into hotels nearby.Hotel Ashoka on Dobson Rd is safe and moderately priced.
