I've got a big hole I need to fill in my garden. What's the best/cheapest material to use?
If I use gravel I'll need about 15 tons of the stuff so it'll be rather pricey.
Where can I find big rocks for sale?
The only ones I can find are ornamental (for ponds etc) so they cost a lot.
I just need to fill a large hole then turf over it.
Any idea if there's a company who'll deliver a large quantity of big rocks/rubble?
I'm in Guildford (south east England)
Thanks for any help.

cheapest and best way is to use broken bricks, contact a local brick making company, or go visit a skip hire firm, they get all sorts of rubbish and it will be cheaper for them to deliver to you instead of the local landfill

Sand may work as a good filler, then add soil over it. If you have an agricultural agency in your area, perhaps they can assist you.
