Australia's immigration policy is that apart from humanitarian entrants and family (e.g. partner, child, parent) visas, immigration is restricted to skilled workers with qualifications and experience in occupations listed as being in need of workers. If a person's occupation isn't listed or if their qualifications and experience are inadequate, they have no chance of getting a visa. Australia has a shortage of skilled workers and it is only because of skilled immigration that employers are able to fill vacancies and meet rising demand for their goods and services. Without those skilled immigrants, our economy would be severely affected and some businesses would close or be forced offshore.
Vitek is completely wrong in saying that non-Asian immigrants get preference. Our immigration policy is completely non-discriminatory and no country or origin based quotas apply. That is amply demonstrated by the facts - Our top 10 sources of immigrants are India (22%), United Kingdom (18%), China (10%), South Africa (7%), Sri Lanka (6%), MalaysiA (5%), Philippines (4%), Korea (3%), Iran (2%), Bangladesh (2%) with dozens of other countries (many from Asia) making up the remainder.

Look it up on the Australian Department of Immigration website. There is a long list of preferred immigrants, mainly tradespeople and some professionals.
Unemployment is an issue here at the moment, so expect not to have a job for the first 6 months. Also in Sydney anyway, housing is expensive.
Immigration is actually an industry in Australia, i.e. immigrants stimulate the building and retail industries. Australia gets most of its wealth from minerals, higher education (giving away degrees), tourism and farming. Thus there is money to build new houses; private investors like me buy them and then rent them out to new immigrants who get a government allowance and give me tax breaks.

nicely, from what i understand of it, i might in all probability say Australia considering which you would be somebody who can/will contribute to the society. to a pair volume, they're fortunate because of the fact they're remoted on an island. i might say the U. S., because of the fact we do have a sturdy coverage on immigration the place we settle for people from each united states each 12 months it quite is "quota" pushed. Its purely that we are landlocked with a poorer united states/international locations and we don't enforce our own rules (ie supply them the boot) the place our problems lie. So somewhat we've an unlawful immigration subject, not immigration subject.

They only want educated immigrants i also think its easier to get in to Australia with a Europian or American passport then an asian one.
