Why is Manny Pacquiao on Golden Boy's Promotions list of fighters?

Manny Pacquiao is on Golden Boy Promotions list of fighters because Golden Boy has a 5 percent stock in his contract.

A few years ago, it was announced that Pacquiao signed with Golden Boy because Oscar De La Hoya gave him a suitcase full of cash and as soon as Pacquiao saw that, he agreed to sign with Golden Boy (would you want a guy like that representing you in politics?...). However, Arum still had a valid contract at the time, Pacquiao signed with Golden Boy and after the smoke had settled, Pacquiao once again pledged his allegiance to Arum even though Golden Boy claimed that he was with them. So, what ended up happening was that it got taken to court and the judge determined that since Pacquiao never terminated his contract with Arum and that it was still valid, he was still a Top Rank fighter, however, since he signed a valid contract with Golden Boy, the judge also determined (after he compromised with Top Rank and Golden Boy) that GBP would get a 5 percent stake in his contract, meaning that for every fight that Pacquiao has, Golden Boy gets 5 percent of the revenue that Pacquiao's fights do.

So, when you really look at it, technically Pacquiao is still a Golden Boy fighter but only partially- in essence and as a whole, Pacquiao is a Top Rank fighter as he has been for the past few years.

In a deal brokered by the court, Top Rank has the biggest stake in Manny's fights but GBP still gets their cut, albeit a very small one in comparison to what Bob Arum rakes in. So because Golden Boy has a small stake in him, he is presented as one of their fighters on their website.

No No no, Manny tried to ditch Arum years back when Oscar handed Manny a suitcase full of cash that Manny accepted, but Arum sued Pacquiao and Pacquiao had to stay with Arum, now Goldenboy gets a cut of whatever Arum makes off Manny because Oscar sued Arum over it.

Because without Oscar, Manny NOR Mayweather would be millionairs today. He made these 2 and they know it. Giving them the honor of fighting him. I am not that big a fan of ODLH, but he is business savy. Has always been. The only fight he gave to prove a point was to fernando Vargas. he didn't want vargas to make money out of fighting him. He just wanted to KO Vargas even in his roid diluted mind. And he did just that.
