Why does Jarron Collins even play?

This dude starts for the Suns, yet he can't score rebound, block shots, or just play defense in general. Why does he even play, let alone start?

    lol @ your username.

I agree that Collins is not very good, actually skill wise he's one of the worst in the league. But the reason the Suns have him is strivctly to clog up the lane. He's big, and he's bulky and he's in there to stop the Spurs penetration. Normally he doesn't start, but he's filling in for Robin Lopez who isn't expected back for a while yet.

He is a fill-in center who has size, can body up, and is physical in the post. Currently, he is filling in for the injured Robin Lopez. The Suns could start Channing Frye but they would lose some punch off the bench.

If he is what you say he is, what good would he do on the bench?
