Windows 7 Laptop Overheating?

I have recently changed to Windows 7 from XP, in my Compaq 794 laptop, with 2 gb ram and dual core.

After installing Windows 7, I could see that the laptop is overheating. It was not the case when XP was there just yesterday.

My hardware is fine, this has got something to do with the OS itself.

Can you please help me out here? Anybody has similar experience?

do no longer use on comfortable floor, mattress, pillows and so forth. as this could block cooling vents. purchase a lap authentic cooling pad with geared up in followers, connects to USB port to function greater advantageous cooling, I by no potential use one in each of my lap tops and not using a cooling pad. Blow the lap authentic vents out with canned compressed air, purchase at any laptop save.
