proportion help show workkk!?

3/x=x+1/4

SHOW WORK.

x+3/x+5=x-3/-5

show work.

t-2/t=2/t+3

2x-3/4x=x-1/x

    Nice of you to ask us to show our work, but I'm going to guess that you did not really show the right questions. If you were following PEMDAS then I'm guessing that you really meant to write:

    3/x=(x+1)/4

    in which case your answer is: x = 3 or -4

    the way you had written it you would get:

    3/x=x+1/4

    LCD = 4x

    and

    4(3) = 4x(x) + x

    12 = 4x2 + x

    12 -4x² -x = -4x² -x +12 = 0

    x = 1.611555 or -1.861555

    and I don't think you meant to write that?

    (x+3)/(x+5)=(x-3)/-5

    x = 0 or -7

    (t-2)/t=2/(t+3)

    t = -2 or 3

    (2x-3)/4x=(x-1)/x

    x=1/2
