How good are college level tennis players?

In the top colleges tennis-wise, they are quite good. A step below professionals, and some will turn pro after college. In many other colleges and small colleges, the players may be just a step above high school players, though. I have played against a number of ex-college players and most are in the 4.0 to 5.0 class, but these were not really top-rated college talent.

Depends on which school, and division.
Right now I can slaughter division 3 players, and beat division 2 players also. Some division 1 school are not that good either. Im only a junior in highschool.
Then, there are those schools with top college programs. Some may go pro, and are very good. D2 and up are all above 4.5 i would say.
