Anyone born in 1970 or grew up in 1970's? Birthday!?
Hello I'm doing a surprise 40th for my fiance..Got a theme going on Red and White..Need some 1970's input into it...I was born 1978 so Im technically an 1980's kid...Not got a clue what to do for the party Inspiration help!! Retro music or sweets is the only idea in my head at the moment!!!

okay ur retro sweeties would be the pan lollies with the tin like lid attached and woppas, Spanish Gold if u could find it. Glam rock was very present in the seventies, ie. the Sweet, Gary Glitter, Mud etc. flares wouldve been the trousers and everyone wore what were called Slade socks, which were like green and black thick striped. trousers wouldve been stay press and folk wore Prince of Wales check clothing. Party inspiration would be - like getting hold of the Jackie albums from library as thats where u would find the 70s music etc. Old fashioned sweetie shops would sell 70s sweeties.

I was born in the early 60's so a retro cake was very cool back then...throw money in cake (just let people know so that they don't break a tooth). My mom would just take change out of her purse and toss it in. I don't even think she washed it lol. No wonder I have such a good immune system.
