How do you reset a My Touch phone back to factory settings?

Just bought it off the web, but it still has the previous owners info. So I need to wipe it clean. Thanks for your help, 10points of you're suggestion works :-)

Update:

It's T-Mobile's My Touch android phone. I tried going through the security settings, but I don't see an option to where I can restore the phone to it's original state.

Surprisingly, its a simple process, just go to Home -> Menu -> Settings -> Security -> Factory data reset. Once there just click Reset phone, then Erase everything and sit back and wait for the process to run its course ...

First of all, what type of fone is it?
