Why does it cost 175$ to get my guitar refretted?

Every music store I go to wants to charge exactly the same amount, 175 dollars to get my guitar refretted. I find it kind of odd, that 4 different people make the exact same quote. Is there some sort of conspiracy or something going on amonst luthiers? I know it's worth it because of the skill level involved, and the cost of a mistake, but they all charge the same?

Generally speaking, The materials will cost the same amount for all of them and since they will all be undercutting each other's prices for labor it works itself out to the same amount. Guitar setups and refretting jobs are usually about the same no matter where you go.
