Anyone taking Lexapro and Pristiq @ the same time?

Yes, I have. I was taking 10mg Lexapro and added Pristiq 50 mg. The Lexapro worked great for me for anxiety but I just couldn't take the sexual side effects anymore so I stopped taking the Lexapro. The Pristiq was very easy for me to get on to....very few side effects. Unfortunately 6 months later it just wasn’t working for my anxiety or depression. And I have been told the 100mg Pristiq is horrible for anxiety. So my Pdoc added Lexapro back. He said sometimes small doses working together can have good results. Now that I have been taking both I feel much better and realize the Pristiq wasn't really working at all. So he wants me to taper off the Pristiq and up the Lexapro dosage. But then I’m sure I’ll have the sexual side effects again. He told me Cymbalta was better for anxiety and easier to dose than the Pristiq...so I may end up on that. I guess I'll find out in 3 weeks when I see him again. But to answer your question...yes, you can take both.
