Do you tip at drive in food to go?

No because you are taking your food they are not going to serve your table or nothing only tip when I get good service

If it is a drive-through window that I'm getting my food from, no, i do not tip. If it is a drive-in restaurant with car hop service, then yes, a tip is appropriate for good service. I would probably tip 10% for basic car hop service and 15% to 20% for exceptional service. The amount of the tip is determined by quickness and accuracy of service as well as providing all the correct condiments and utensils without having to be asked. Keep in mind that the car hop cannot control how long it takes the kitchen to put out the order. Just how quickly they respond to you and bring your order after it's done.

I occasionally tip at sonic if a carhop comes out to my car, i might give like two dollars, the thing is your bill is never really that much, and if i am going to sonic or any fast food, it's b/c i'm broke--but at sonic i will leave a two dollar tip if a carhop comes out to my car.

I think it is always appropriate to tip. If you can afford it. Its not the waitresses fault the company she works for provides poor quality food. And since the tip goes to the server it is always a low cost kind gesture. These acts of kindness are contagious.

No, you tip because of good service and good food. You don't know if the food is terrible before you have eaten it!
