what happens when you don't check out and they say they are sold out that day?

I need to extend my stay, and the hotel says i need to check out because they are booked. what happens if I don't check out and leave.

    They can "force" you out--they will call the police to have you removed from the premises.

    They can call the police and have you removed and charged with trespassing.

    This answer should be in the agreement that you signed whenever you checked in your hotel.
